Our Founder
Nakia Phelps
The foundation’s inception is deeply rooted in the personal journey of its founder, Nakia Phelps. Growing up in a single-parent household, Nakia witnessed firsthand the disparities facing children in low-income communities, especially in access to creative arts. This experience ignited a passionate commitment to empowering these communities by providing avenues for creative expression and personal development. Her vision for the Micah Amari Foundation is a testament to the potential within every individual to shape their future and enrich their community.
